Western Fresno County in central California... * Until 645 PM PDT. * At 612 PM PDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of South Dos Palos, or 21 miles south of Merced, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Public reported funnel cloud north of Firebaugh. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of western Madera and western Fresno Counties.
