TORSTO The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a * Tornado Warning for... East central San Joaquin County in central California... North central Stanislaus County in central California... * Until 245 PM PDT. * At 220 PM PDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Ripon, or 10 miles northwest of Modesto, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central San Joaquin and north central Stanislaus Counties.
