* Until 615 AM EDT.
* At 411 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6
inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to
0.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Mountain State Park, Hampton Creek Cove State Park, Milligan
College and Limestone Cove.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
