* Until 200 AM EDT.
* At 906 PM EDT, Persistent moderate to heavy rainfall today has
resulted in between 4 and 7 inches of rain across the area.
Additional moderate to heavy rain with rainfall rates of 1 to 2
inches in 1 hour is moving into the area. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area with
additional flash flooding expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Switzerland To Linville, Grandfather Mountain State Park, B.R.
Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland, Mount Mitchell State Park,
Altamont, Pineola, Ingalls and Linville.

threatening roads or property to the National Weather Service
Greenville-Spartanburg by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1,
by posting on our Facebook page, or via X using hashtag NWSGSP. Your
message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred
and the depth of flooding observed.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
