* Flash Flood Warning for...
Iredell County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
* Until 830 AM EDT.
* At 435 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across Iredell
County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. 911 call
center reported standing water over bridges and roadways across
the county. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Statesville, Mooresville, Davidson, Troutman, Stony Point,
Catawba, Harmony, Love Valley, Lake Norman State Park, Lookout
Shoals Lake, Lake Norman, Turnersburg, Scotts, Cool Springs, Olin,
Doolie and Union Grove.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
