The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended
the

Chester County in upstate South Carolina...
Union SC County in upstate South Carolina...
* Until 1000 AM EDT.
* At 615 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across Union
(SC) and Chester Counties. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.0 inches in 1 hour.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible as
tropical rainbands lift northward. Significant flooding appears
likely, resulting in road closures, first-floor inundation, and
damage to some structures.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
