The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended
the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Iredell County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
* Until 1130 AM EDT.
* At 640 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across Iredell
County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected
rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Significant flooding
appears likely, resulting in road closures, first-floor
inundation, and damage to some structures.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Statesville, Mooresville, Davidson, Troutman, Stony Point,
Catawba, Harmony, Love Valley, Lake Norman State Park, Lookout
Shoals Lake, Lake Norman, Turnersburg, Scotts, Cool Springs, Olin,
Doolie and Union Grove.
