Laurens County in upstate South Carolina... * Until 1000 AM EDT. * At 708 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across Anderson, Greenwood, and Abbeville Counties. Between 7 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2.5 to 3.5 inches in 1 hour. Significant flooding appears likely, resulting in road closures, first-floor inundation, and damage to some structures. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
