The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended
the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Chester County in upstate South Carolina...
Union SC County in upstate South Carolina...
* Until 200 PM EDT.
* At 1143 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. While
rainfall has tapered off across the area, runoff will continue to
result in rapid rises along rivers and streams. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Union, Chester, Great Falls, Monarch Mill, Buffalo, Jonesville,
Fort Lawn, Lockhart, Carlisle, Richburg, Lowrys, Chester State
Park, Rose Hill State Park, Fishing Creek Reservoir, Leeds,
Santuc, Adamsburg, Cornwell, Blackstock and Saratt.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
