Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the
following county, Gaston.
* WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1147 PM EDT, Gauge reports indicated runoff from heavy
rain due to earlier thunderstorms was causing a rise on
Catawba Creek in Gastonia. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Gastonia and South Gastonia.

message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred
and the depth of flooding observed.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
