Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Georgia, including the following
county, Rabun and upstate South Carolina, including the following
county, Oconee.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 409 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area
with localized rainfall totals around 3 inches in the advised
area today. Monitor for elevated flows and/or out of bank
conditions on select tributaties of the Upper Chattooga such
as Warwoman Creek and the Chauga River.

Tallulah Gorge State Park, Lake Hartwell, Long Creek,
Mountain Rest and Pine Mountain.

Instruction:
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
