* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Buncombe. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain will fall into the early evening resulting in a smattering of urban type flooding along the Highway 25 and I-26/40/240 corridors...which includes greater Asheville. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Downtown Asheville, East Asheville, Arden, West Asheville, North Asheville, Black Mountain, Mills River, Woodfin, Fletcher, Swannanoa, Weaverville, Fairview In Buncombe County, Biltmore Forest, Bent Creek, UNC-Asheville, B.R.
