Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the
following counties, Burke, Caldwell and McDowell.
* WHEN...Until 415 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1122 PM EDT, Training thunderstorms with intense rainfall
has resulted in 3 to 6 inches of rain across portions of the
Blue Ridge escarpment and surrounding mountains. Routed flow
from this rainfall will result in rises on Wilson's Creek,
John's River headwaters, Warrior Fork and Linville River.
Nuisance to minor flooding will be possible over the next
several hours.

Blowing Rock In Caldwell County, Table Rock, B.R. Parkway-
Linville Falls To Grandfather, Grandfather Mountain State
Park, Lake James State Park, Lake James, Edgemont,
Collettsville, Globe and Upton.

threatening roads or property to the National Weather Service
Greenville-Spartanburg by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1,
by posting on our Facebook page, or via X using hashtag NWSGSP. Your
message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred
and the depth of flooding observed.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
