* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Polk. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 738 AM EDT, Gauge reports indicated ongoing high flows through the Green and North Pacolet River basins this morning and will continue all day. When heavy rain redevelops, flash flood warnings will be needed. Until then, remain wary of flooding of low-lying areas along these rivers and select basins. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
