* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Alexander, Catawba, Iredell and Lincoln. * WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 911 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated tropical heavy rain showers blossoming across the advised area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will flood low-lying areas. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
