Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of upstate South Carolina, including the
following county, Spartanburg.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1037 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy tropical
showers blossoming from the south and will overspread
Spartanburg County through midday. Hourly rainfall rates up
to 2 inches will be possible causing flooding of low-lying
areas and poor drainage areas. Where heavier rain already
fell last night, watch for developing stream and river
flooding in the North Pacolet and Tyger River headwaters.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
