* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the following counties, Bamberg, Calhoun, Lexington, Orangeburg and Richland. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1217 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, Lexington, West Columbia, Orangeburg, Cayce, Irmo, Forest Acres, Bamberg, Denmark, Springdale, Brookdale, Oak Grove, St. Andrews, Dentsville, South Congaree, Pine Ridge, Gaston, Branchville, Arcadia Lakes and Edisto Gardens. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 between mile markers 0 and 3. Interstate 26 between mile markers 104 and 144. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 58 and 79.
