* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following counties, Burke, Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie and Richmond and central South Carolina, including the following counties, Aiken, Edgefield and McCormick. * WHEN...Until 330 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 130 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Thomson, Waynesboro, Fort Eisenhower, Martinez, Augusta, Belvedere, Clearwater, Edgefield, Hephzibah, McCormick, Harlem, Jackson, Lincolnton, Sardis, Midville, Village Plaza Shopping Center and Riverwood. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 23. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 11. Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 167 and 201.
