* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the following counties, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster and Richland. * WHEN...Until 330 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 205 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, Irmo, Lancaster, Winnsboro, Springdale, Lake Wateree Dam, Dentsville, St. Andrews, Indian Land, Elgin, Heath Springs, Lake Wateree State Park, Liberty Hill, Longtown, Irwin, Fairfield County Airport, Lake Carolina, Lugoff and USC Lancaster. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 between mile markers 100 and 103. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 79 and 85. Interstate 77 between mile markers 18 and 50. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
