* WHAT...Flooding impacts continue following intense rainfall during Tropical Storm Helene. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following counties, Burke and Caldwell. * WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding remains in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water may still cover some roadways. River or stream flows remain elevated but are receding and should drop below flood stage by later this evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 737 PM EDT, Stream levels along Wilson Creek and Johns River remain elevated as per gauge readings, though they are now falling rapidly and expected to return to normal conditions within the next 1 to 2 hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Table Rock, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain State Park, Edgemont, Collettsville, Globe, Jonas Ridge, Oak Hill, Upton, and a portion of the B.R. Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous when stream flows are elevated. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
