* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Cabarrus County in the North Carolina Piedmont * WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 801 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is likely ongoing in the eastern portions of Cabarrus County along streams and tributaries of the Rocky River. The stream gauge on the Rocky River below Irish Buffalo Creek reported that the stream heights were just falling into action stage, indicating nuisance flooding. - Flooding along Back Creek south of Harrisburg may be occurring near the intersection of Robinson Church Road and Stallings Road which is near Middleton and Rocky Meadows subdivisions. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
