For the Middle Oconee River...including Arcade...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Middle Oconee River near Arcade. * WHEN...From Thursday evening to early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Significant flooding continues to expand further into the woodlands...fields and pasture upstream and downstream from the gage at Georgia Highway 82. The water level reaches the bottom of the bridge. A house just downstream will be flooded with two feet of water. The water will reach the foundations of a few homes on Bismarck Circle Road upstream from the gage and the rock drive of a house near the bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 1.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 24.1 feet Friday evening.
