...The National Weather Service in Tallahassee FL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...
Ochlockonee River near Thomasville (US 84) affecting Thomas and
Grady Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ochlockonee River near Thomasville (US 84).
* WHEN...From late tonight to early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, In Grady County, Lewis Land near the river
is completely inaccessible. Homes east of GA-93 near the river
have water in their backyard. At Dickey Ferry, water floods
structures not elevated near the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 8.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 21.7 feet early
Saturday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Monday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.6 feet on 10/04/1994.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
