issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Virginia...
Rapidan River Near Culpeper affecting Orange, Spotsylvania and
Culpeper Counties.
For the Rapidan River...including Culpeper...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rapidan River near Culpeper.
* WHEN...From this evening to just after midnight tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Farmland near the river between Rapidan
and Raccoon Ford begins to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 9.2 feet, or 3.8 feet
below flood stage.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 13.3 feet
this evening. It will then fall below flood stage this
evening to 5.8 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
13.5 feet on 04/17/2011.
