Warning for the following rivers in North Carolina...
Yadkin River At Wilkesboro affecting Wilkes County.
Yadkin River At Elkin affecting Surry and Yadkin Counties.
For the Yadkin River...including Wilkesboro, Elkin...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Yadkin River at Elkin.
* WHEN...From Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, two to three blocks of Elkin are inundated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:00 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 9.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to 24.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will
then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
