Turkey Creek at Byromville affecting Dooly County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Turkey Creek at Byromville. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding of woodlands occurs upstream and downstream from the stream gage on Georgia Highway 90. Portions of creek access roads and low lying areas will begin to flood. At 12.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Widespread flooding expands into the woodlands upstream and downstream of the stream gage on Georgia Highway 90. Creek access roads will be flooded and the water level reaches the bottom of the bridge. The bridge may become closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 7.9 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 11.8 feet Friday afternoon.
