Description:
* WHAT...Flooding along Gills Creek will continue into the early
evening hours from Forest Acres downstream to I-77 and Bluff Road.
The creek will gradually fall later this evening.
* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
following county, Richland.
* WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 601 PM EDT, Heavy rainfall throughout the day has produced
high flows and some minor flooding along Gills Creek.
Flooding is ongoing in the warned area. This area received
between 3 and 7 inches of rain through 6 pm.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to one inch are possible.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Columbia and Forest Acres.
- This includes Interstate 77 near mile marker 6.
