Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...
Chattooga River at Summerville affecting Chattooga County.
For the Chattooga River...including Summerville...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Chattooga River at Summerville.
* WHEN...From Friday afternoon to early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor flooding of woodlands and fields
begins along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on
U.S. Highway 27 or Rome Boulevard.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 2.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 14.3 feet tomorrow evening.
It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.3 feet on 03/25/2020.
