For the Middle Oconee River...including Auburn, Winder, Arcade, Athens...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Middle Oconee River near Arcade. * WHEN...From Friday morning to late Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Significant flooding occurs in the woodlands...fields and pasture upstream and downstream from the gage at Georgia Highway 82. A residential yard will be completely flooded with the water reaching the foundation of a house just downstream. The flood waters will be reaching Bismarck Circle Road upstream from the gage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 7.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 21.2 feet tomorrow evening.
