Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...
South Fork Peachtree Creek at Johnson Rd Atlanta affecting DeKalb
and Fulton Counties.
For the Peachtree Creek...including Tucker, Clarkston, Graves Rd
Doraville, Briarwood Rd Atlanta, Buford Hwy Atlanta, Casa Drive
Clarkston, Johnson Rd Atlanta, Atlanta, Atlanta...Moderate flooding
is forecast.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...South Fork Peachtree Creek at Johnson Rd Atlanta.
* WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 17 feet, Major flooding begins along the creek
upstream and downstream from the gage on Johnson Road. Record
flooding never seen before will inundate backyards of the
residential homes on Noble Drive...Helen Drive and Kay Lane with
up to 4 feet of water. The water level will reach the foundations
of a few homes and may enter some crawl spaces. This height
combined with the flow on North Fork Peachtree Creek will likely
produce major flooding further downstream on Peachtree Creek in
Fulton County.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:15 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0
feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late
tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 13 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.4 feet on 03/16/1976.
