...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...
Oconee River near Oconee affecting Wilkinson, Johnson and
Washington Counties.
For the Oconee River Basin...including Penfield, Oconee...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Oconee River near Oconee.
* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 23 feet, Moderate flooding continues. Portions of the
Old Balls Ferry Road leading to the boat ramp becomes flooded with
a foot of water or more. The entire dirt parking lot near the
boat ramp is under three to five feet of water. Extensive flooding
of the woodlands near the river continues.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 9.7 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this
afternoon to 21.9 feet early tomorrow afternoon and rise to
22.9 feet Monday evening. It will then fall again but remain
above flood stage.
- Flood stage is 17 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
