For the Flint River Basin...including Lovejoy, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Americus, Peachtree City, Woolsey, Sharpsburg, Peachtree City, Peachtree City, Senoia, Griffin, Griffin, Orchard Hill, Thomaston, Molena, Carsonville, Montezuma, Byromville... Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River near Griffin. * WHEN...Until late Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 16 feet, Minor flooding expands further into the woodlands...fields and pasture upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 16 or Newnan Road. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way upstream from the bridge will be flooded with around 3 feet of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 12 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.6 feet this evening.
