...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...
Nancy Creek at Rickenbacker Drive at Atlanta affecting Fulton and
DeKalb Counties.
For the Nancy Creek...including Chamblee, Atlanta, Atlanta...Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding will continue.
* WHERE...Nancy Creek at Rickenbacker Drive at Atlanta.
* WHEN...Until late this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11 feet, Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding of
residential yards occurs upstream and downstream from the gage on
Rickenbacker Drive. This includes homes on East Powder Horn Road
and Hitching Post Trail around 1.5 miles upstream...along
Rickenbacker Way near the gage...and Fairfield Drive around 2
miles downstream.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 11.4 feet and falling.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM EDT Friday was 14.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this morning and continue falling to 8.3 feet this
evening.
- Flood stage is 11 feet.
