This is the flood of record. * WHERE...Pigeon River at Canton. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 22.8 feet, Major flooding of areas along the Pigeon River. Floodwater levels will be similar to the levels that occurred on September 17, 2004. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 25.8 feet. - Action/Advisory Stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:00 PM EDT Friday was 25.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight and continue falling to 5.6 feet Wednesday morning. - Minor Flood Stage is 10.0 feet.
