Yadkin River At Wilkesboro affecting Wilkes County.
For the Yadkin River...including Wilkesboro, Elkin...Major flooding
is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Yadkin River at Wilkesboro.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, A few cottages and recreational camps are
flooded
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 17.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:00 PM EDT Friday was 17.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late
this evening.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
