For the South River...including Waynesboro...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South River near Waynesboro. * WHEN...From this evening to early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Significant portions of downtown Waynesboro are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:15 PM EDT Friday the stage was 10.2 feet, or 0.7 feet above flood stage. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:15 PM EDT Friday was 10.2 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 11.5 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning to 5.5 feet Sunday evening. It will rise to 6.0 feet Monday morning.
