Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the
following county, Yancey.
* WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Many areas of slow moving or standing water were
lingering this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 810 PM EDT, Excessive runoff throughout the Cane and South
Toe Rivers will likely continue into the overnight hours.
Please remain wary of ongoing flooding along these rivers and
select tributaries. Also watch out for debris flows which
may have occurred early today thanks to the excessive
rainfall.

Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Heavy rain had significantly increasing the risk of landslides,
especially in areas where slides have occurred in the past. Slides
can destroy single homes and other structures and large sections of
roads. If you are in the warned area, you should not travel, except
to move away from flash flood or landslide dangers.
