For the Chattahoochee River Basin...including Atlanta...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Chattahoochee River at Atlanta. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Significant flooding expands along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on Paces Ferry Road. An athletic field at Lovett School and backyards of residential homes on Cochise Drive...Paces Ferry Drive...Paces Manor and Farmington Drive...and walking paths by a restaurant will be under 6 feet of water. Some homes in these areas will be flooded with around one foot of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 18.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:00 AM EDT Saturday was 23.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 8.8 feet by Monday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
