...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Virginia...
South River near Waynesboro affecting Augusta and City of
Waynesboro independent cities.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...South River near Waynesboro.
* WHEN...Until late this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Portions of the Club Court neighborhood,
Rife Road, and Shore Road, along with nearby homes, are flooded.
Water also reaches low lying areas of downtown Waynesboro.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 10.2 feet, or 0.7 feet
above flood stage.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 AM EDT Saturday was 10.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this morning and continue falling to 7.2 feet Tuesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
10.3 feet on 03/19/1975.

Instruction:

dangers of flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
