* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following
counties, Carter, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington.
* WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will
take several hours for all the water to recede from creeks and
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 951 AM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area. Flooding is already occurring.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Johnson City, Elizabethton, Erwin, Mountain City, Hampton,
Central, Pine Crest, Oak Grove, Banner Hill, Spurgeon,
Unicoi, Watauga, Hunter, Roan Mountain, Roane Mountain State
Park, Elk Mills, Sadie, Milligan College, Limestone Cove and
Hampton Creek Cove State Park.
