For the Oconee River Basin...including Penfield, Milledgeville, Oconee, Oconee, McIntyre, Irwinton, Oconee, Dublin, Mount Vernon... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Oconee River near Penfield. * WHEN...From late tonight to Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13 feet, Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on the Georgia Highway 15 bridge. The right bank begins to overflow into agricultural land and pastures with a foot or two of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.7 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 14 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
