For the Flint River Basin...including Molena...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River below Big Branch near Molena. * WHEN...Until late this evening. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding of the natural flood plain near the gage location begins. Flooding continues to expand into the agricultural and wooded areas downstream from the gage near the Georgia Highway 74 bridge. Elevated homes in this location will see a foot or two of water underneath them. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 28.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:00 AM EDT Sunday was 28.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.2 feet this morning.
