...The National Weather Service in Lubbock TX has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Double Mountain Fork Brazos near Lubbock 4ESE affecting Lubbock
County.
* WHAT...Excessive rainfall falling late tonight into early Monday
morning is expected to result in flooding near Buffalo Springs
Lake.
* WHERE...Double Mountain Fork Brazos near Lubbock 4ESE.
* WHEN...From early this morning to this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flooding over FM-835 just west of Buffalo
Spings will likely require closure of the highway. Flooding of
loop road around west end of Buffalo Springs Lake also likely. The
onset of flooding at FM-835 may be delayed by 4 to 6 hours after
the river gauge at Southeast Loop 289 exceeds 11 feet or about
1000 CFS.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 AM CST Monday the stage was 9.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.

Instruction:
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
