* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Central Sonoma County. * WHEN...Until 315 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 215 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 3 and 15 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch are forecast. Additional rises on area creeks, rivers, and streams can be anticipated. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Windsor, Healdsburg, Cotati, Larkfield-Wikiup, Roseland, South Santa Rosa Cdp and South Santa Rosa. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
