Description:
At 403 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mounds, or 10 miles northwest of Cairo, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mounds, Tamms, Mound City, Karnak, Horseshoe Lake Conservation Area,
Olive Branch, Ullin, Olmsted, New Grand Chain, and Pulaski.
This includes Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 3 and
18.
