At 459 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Sharon, or 10 miles east of Crawfordville, moving east at 25 mph. ...Boaters on Lake Strom Thurmond Should Seek Safe Harbor... HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Lincolnton, Mistletoe State Park, Thomson-McDuffie County Airport, Wrightsboro, Elijah Clark State Park, Loce, Leah, Winfield, Clay Hill Campground, Knox Scout Reservation, University Hospital McDuffie, Phinizy, Woodlawn, Double Branches, Wildwood Park, Pollards Corner, Eubank-Blanchard Community Center, Lake Springs Recreation Area, Amity Recreation Area, and Bussey Point Campground. This includes Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 167 and 171.
