Description:
At 250 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles southeast of Clayton, or 4 miles northeast of Lakemont, moving
north at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clayton, Mountain City, Tiger, Dillard, Sky Valley, Lakemont,
Tallulah Gorge State Park, Black Rock Mountain State Park, Tallulah
Falls, and Lake Rabun.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
