The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
West central Calhoun County in central South Carolina...
North central Orangeburg County in central South Carolina...
* Until 1130 AM EDT.
* At 1056 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Edisto Gardens, or near Orangeburg, moving
north at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
west central Calhoun and north central Orangeburg Counties,
including the following locations... Cordova, Woodford, and Edisto.
This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 134 and 139.
