Jasper County in southeastern South Carolina... * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 842 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 5 miles northeast of Wassaw Island, moving north at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Pooler, Bluffton, Tybee Island, Hutchinson Island, Downtown Savannah, Midtown Savannah, Bellinger Hill Area, Wilmington Island, Hunter Army Airfield and Windsor Forest. This includes the following highways... I-16 between mile markers 157 and 168. I-95 in Georgia between mile markers 99 and 112. I-95 in South Carolina between mile markers 2 and 9.
