People across the U.S., including veterans, military families and those in rural communities, share a common problem - lack of awareness and access to resources, services and benefits.

While over $8.3 trillion is spent a year on social services, still:

  • About 1 in 6 kids or about 11.7 million children go to bed hungry,
  • Over 650,000 people experience homelessness,
  • Up to 33% of active-duty and military veterans report food insecurity, and
  • 1 in 3 adults with disabilities do not have adequate health care.

At them same time,

  • Over 500,000 small businesses are started each year, and many are without proper permits and licenses.

It is difficult for people when they lose their housing or income, healthcare, jobs, or are impacted by a natural disaster or climate change related event like floods, tornadoes, hurricanes to be aware of and locate the services and benefits they need.

To illustrate, there are over 20,000 government websites - disconnected from each other and from other service providers. It is time consuming and challenging to find the information and services you need to “food and housing, start and run a business, get disaster assistance after a flood, hurricane, tornado, extreme weather event, change address, COVID updates, and more.”A row of Homeless people's tents on publis sidewalk

In general, governments, public service entities, and non-profits do not work together to provide public services. Especially, across borders.

City leaders and health & wellness providers, especially in rural communities, need a better and more equitable way to provide whole of government services to citizens and businesses.
